Discover the ultimate in 19th holes, when Cannes launches its first ever Golf Festival in July. Not only can anyone take part, at some of the Riviera\'s ritziest, glitziest golf courses, but the post-round entertainment is serious jet set stuff.
From July 3-10, the fairways and links of the prestigious golf courses could well be upstaged by the glamorous parties and soirées on the festival programme. At swish venues, including Fouquet\'s, La Croisette Beach and the Palm Beach Terrace, high fashion and very expensive watches will be paraded in a celebration of sporting self indulgence.
The golf, open to all amateurs, is to be played at La Grande Bastide, Saint-Donat, Le Claux Amic, Old Course Cannes-Mandelieu and Opio-Valbonne. The event is geared towards couples, with reserved space on the fashionable beaches for non-golfing partners. Prices per couple are ¤1660 for seven nights\' 3-star accommodation, six days on the beach for one and five days\' golf for one, snacks on the golf courses and two tickets for the gala dinner and awards ceremony on Majestic beach. Stay 4-star for ¤1970 or pamper yourself at a top palace hotel for ¤2490. Partners can upgrade from beach laziness to playing golf for just ¤475.
