In and around Oosterdok (Eastern Dock), Amsterdam

Aqua Musica is a swinging musical festival on the water. Throughout this four-day-long festival you can enjoy old music in unique locations in the Amsterdam Eastern Dock area. You are invited to attend a very special concert in the hold of the \"Amsterdam\". The \"Amsterdam\" is a replica of the original VOC ship which dates from Holland\'s Golden Age, the 17th century.
The festival will be opened in a spectacular fashion with a free, floating concert on Friday night.

Aqua Musica presents mainly small concerts featuring old music. This special music is performed by a selection of national and international musicians. You can listen to these concerts in and from ships which you are not normally allowed to enter. These floating monuments are an average of 100 years old. Most of the performances during this nautical weekend take place in and from the historical ships of the Museum Harbor Amsterdam Association, in the large hold of the VOC ship and in the courtyard of the Netherlands Maritime Museum Amsterdam.
