Once a year, Amsterdam's historic city center is transformed into Holland's most beautiful concert hall. At some 20 unique indoor and outdoor locations, national and international top musicians and new talent perform over 70 concerts. On pontoons in the canals, in secluded courtyards and historic period rooms of monumental canal houses, even in local residents' living rooms and roof gardens.
What was originally planned as a one-off piano concert on a rusty barge has developed into a fully- fledged music festival. The Prinsengracht Concert is the festive highlight.
AND FOR CHILDREN...
The Children\'s Canal Festival was held for the second time last year. An instant success, it will again be a fun event featuring concerts by and for children. Master classes, monument concerts, toddler\'s concerts and architectural canal cruises through the festival district are sure to delight the youngsters.
