The Savoyardises : from 23 to 26 July in Albiez
A dream for foodies: the "Savoyardises" is a festival which celebrates savoyard cuisine and showcases local products. Gargantuan meals, wine workshops, bread, butter, pasta making classes, promotional markets offering regional produce (wine, cheese, meats) gastronomic tour, pancake tossing competitions.

Festival of old bread ovens and trades of a bygone age: August 7 and 8 at Crest Voland Cohennoz. Bread is baked in traditional ovens. Demonstrations of old traditionals mountain trades. Woodwork. Woodcutter's contest and motor saws sculpture. Savoyard specialities with dance. Stands and varied games.

Reblochon festival in La Clusaz: August 15th 2004
Festival celebrating artisans and agriculture offering a live reconstruction of past life. This is the big traditional summer festival. Reblochon produced on life.

Mountain Guide Festival in Chamonix : 14 and 15 August 2004
An ancestral festival celebrating the public holiday dedicated to mountain guides only. A celebration where ice axe and ropes are blessed, ceremony, climbing show.

15th Transvercors: August 22nd 2004
Famous crossing of Vercors by mountain bike. Each one follows his own path offered: 6, 17, 25, 65 km. For those addicted to endurance and performance, a 100 km journey route connecting the Col du Rousset to Villard de Lans is offered. A lively atmosphere.
