With 40 participants, this year will be the largest FFWD Heineken Dance Parade in history. Among the participants you will find the very best of the Dutch dance scene, such as party organizers ID&T (sensation) and UDC (Dance Valley) as well as international top DJ’s such as Dave Clarke, Kevin Saunderson, Paul Johnson, Ferry Corsten, Johan Gielen and Michel de Heij.
START PARADE
The FFWD Heineken Dance Parade will kick off with a “warm up†between 11:00 and 12:00 in Rotterdam city centre, Nieuwe Binnenweg-Mathenesserlaan, which is different from previous years. The route is also different, the Parade will now come much closer to the shopping streets of Rotterdam. This will surely benefit the parade in terms of atmosphere, and the surprise effect on the shopping public will certainly contribute to it as well!
The Parade will then make its way towards the Erasmusbridge, which is guaranteed to create enormous party! Last year the bridge was “swinging along†with the dancing crowd. During the FFWD Heineken Dance Parade the participating floats will cover music from every genre, so that there is something for everyone to dance to.
FINAL PARTY
After the parade has ended, a final party will be held between 16:00 and 23:00 on Katendrecht, with top international DJ’s such as Kevin Saunderson, Ferry Corsten, Junior Jack & Kid Crème, Michel de Hey and Agnelli & Nelson. For the first time in the history of FFWD Heineken Dance Pararde, there will be six different areas at the final party. Each area will be hosted by a top DJ, who will each make their own selection of music to be played in their section. This way you will be able to hear what Holland’s most popular DJ’s like to listen to themselves!
Ferry Corsten has invited DJ’s in his area represent “electronic dance music with an attitudeâ€. Besides Ferry, Misja Helsloot and Ronald van Gelderen will be playing in the first area alongside his English trance colleagues Chris Agnellie and Robbie Nelson, who, like Ferry Corsten, regularly plays in God’s Kitchen in Birmingham.
