Rebuilding the Viking warship is the most ambitious Viking ship restoration ever undertaken. And on September 4, four years after the project began, the restored 11th-century ship will be launched at the in Roskilde. At any time of year, the Viking Ship Museum is a must-see for anyone who wants to be awed by the power of histoy.

The permanent exhibition of the museum shows 5 Vikingships from the 11th century. The ships were excavated and preserved during the period 1962-1969. Moreover, the exhibition tells about the Viking period, shipbuilding, underwater archaeology etc. Every year special exhibitions with changing themes. Cinema showing different films, for instance film about the excavation of the ships - 6 versions: Danish, English, German, French, Spanish and Italian.
