VisitBritain has just published five of its series of official accommodation guides, highlighting some 22,000 places to stay throughout England. Whether you are looking for a luxury hotel, fantastic B&B, cosy cottage or friendly caravan holiday park, the new-look Enjoy England Official Guides to Quality Accommodation are all you need!

Formerly known as the Where to Stay series, the guides have been completely revamped and updated to include a wealth of quality-assured accommodation with Star and Diamond ratings, colour photos, maps and tips on where to go and what to see and do. All accommodation in the guides has been independently-inspected and quality-rated, ensuring a comfortable stay and warm welcome, whatever you choose.

New for 2005 is the Enjoy England Families and Pets Welcome introduced in response to consumer demand for more holiday information for families with young children or holidaymakers not wanting to leave their pets behind. Family and pet friendly accommodation featured in the guide includes: the 4 Star Jacob's Cottage in Bridgnorth, Shropshire, a delightful Georgian cottage a five minute stroll away from the Severn Valley Steam Railway (p129) For stunning scenery and a different mountain to climb every day, there is the 4 Star Chalets in Eskdale, Cumbria (p69), or for wonderful cooked breakfasts and fabulous king-size or four poster beds, stay at the 4 Diamond Newton House in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire (p107).

Enjoy England Self-catering Holiday Homes 2005 - This guide contains a comprehensive list of over 10,000 establishments including cottages, barns, houses, bungalows, studios, chalets, boat accommodation and cottages. Some of the properties featured in the guide are national finalists in the Enjoy England Excellence Awards 2005 including Pudding Cottage, a 5 Star 18th Century coach-house conversion in a stunning location in the heart of the Lake District National Park. There are two titles to be launched in March 2005:

- Britain's Blue Flag Beaches 2005 which is being produced in partnership with ENCAMS - the organisation which runs the Keep Britain Tidy campaign and quality assures beaches around Britain. - The new-look Enjoy England Somewhere Special 2005 features the cream of England's hotels, B&Bs and self-catering properties. All establishments have attained either the highest quality ratings or have achieved a Gold or Silver award.
