Following the success of the 2004 Hadrian's Wall Path National Trail summer passport, the Countryside Agency has launched a Walking Around Hadrian's Wall Country winter passport. Available until 30 April, the winter passport features more than 20 circular one-day walks, all close to Hadrian's Wall, in locations across the region from Bowness-on-Solway, through Cumbria and Northumberland to Newcastle.

As with the summer passport, walkers can collect any six stamps from stamping stations in shops, pubs and visitor attractions to qualify to purchase a special winter passport badge.
