2005 Easter FestivalThe [17th] Easter Festival Tirol 05 “Life. Be | Asia’s Smile” is dedicated to the mystifying Far East. The main focus is on China, India, and Japan which is also spotlighted in the 2005 Culture Program of the European Union. These three weeks offer a great opportunity to compare ones own philosophy of life with those of ancient non-European cultures. In the search for the meaning of life one will find more things in common then we might think.

Fears and prejudices are broken down. Besides the exhibition titled “China: Life of God and People” (in comparison with our Western civilization) and the great baroque Passion compositions in concerts, theater and dance performances, the Easter Festival Tirol’05 focuses on traditional and contemporary music from Asia and its influence on modern-age Europe.

The first Easter Festival Tirol was staged 17 years ago and designed as an exchange of cultures, ideas and religions. The key topics change every year to give insight into different cultures and societies. The main focus is always on music complemented by theater and dance performances, readings and symposiums. For three weeks per year Hall and Innsbruck are the venues of international meetings of art and culture.
