London's 2012 bid organisers have released plans for the next generation of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The city is one of the five candidates to hold the 2012 games: the decision as to which city will do so will be announced by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in July.

Glasgow's Burrell Collection will be staging the city's first major Chinese exhibition, exploring and celebrating 4000 years of Chinese history and culture through Sir William Burrell's world-class collection of Chinese art.
