This year marks the 200th anniversary of William Wordsworth’s great autobiographical poem “The Prelude”. The manuscript is on display in the Wordsworth Museum, adjacent to his picturesque home Dove Cottage at Grasmere in the English Lake District.

A new guide to Britain's waterways will help visitors get the most of its 2,000-mile network of canals, lakes and navigable rivers - both on and alongside the water. The brochure, "Enjoy Britain's Waterscape" has been produced by Waterscape.com and is available free from VisitBritain's offices overseas.

New 2005 England Holiday Planner

From Michelin-starred restaurants and luxury boutique hotels to off-the-beaten-track hideaways and environmentally-friendly campsites in vineyards, England has it all. To help Brits discover just what is on offer VisitBritain has produced a new (2005) edition of the Enjoy England Holiday Planner.

VisitBritain has published a pocket-sized handbook for young travellers aged 18 to 30 in association with guide book specialists Lonely Planet. "Experience Britain, Do It Your Way" is the official guide for backpackers, independent travellers and working holidaymakers planning a trip to the UK.

Britain\'s traffic-free cycle trails

Thanks largely to its National Cycle Network, which covers 8,450 miles and celebrates the 10th anniversary of its modest beginnings in 2005, Britain has a growing web of good cycling routes. A new book highlights more than 400 of the best routes which are not only scenic but also segregated from cars.

A movie map features all the London spots in the new "Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason" film starring Renée Zellweger and Hugh Grant. Produced by Film London and tourist board Visit London, places highlighted in the publication range from lingerie store Rigby & Peller on Conduit Street to the Italian fountains in Kensington Gardens
